Dr. Richard Hernandez, DMD, is a dedicated dentist with a passion for helping others and providing exceptional care. Born in Hawaii, he spent his early childhood there before his family relocated to Modesto, California, where he grew up and completed his high school education. Driven by his interest in the sciences and his innate talent for working with his hands, he pursued his undergraduate studies in Santa Barbara, California, earning a BA in Psychology from the University of California.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Hernandez embarked on a two-year mission for his church in Brazil, where he further developed his commitment to service and helping those in need. Upon his return, he joined the military as a translator, and his skills took him back to Hawaii for four years, where he continued to serve his country.

After his military service, Dr. Hernandez pursued his passion for dentistry and completed his prerequisites for dental school at CSU East Bay in California. Driven by his ambition to make a difference in people’s lives, he made his way to Utah to attend Roseman University of Health Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Hernandez cherishes his family life. He is a proud father of three sons, Jake (9), Leo (6), and Ben (4), who bring immense joy and love to his life. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hernandez enjoys exploring the great outdoors, hiking scenic trails, snowboarding down snowy slopes, and embarking on thrilling adventures riding UTVs.
As Dr. Richard Hernandez joins the community as a new dentist, he is excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact on the oral health and well-being of his patients. He looks forward to getting to know the local community and experiencing the diverse culinary offerings it has to offer. With his warm and compassionate approach, Dr. Hernandez is committed to providing outstanding dental care and building meaningful connections with his patients for years to come.
