Getting braces is often seen as a rite of passage through adolescence. It’s not always the most comfortable experience, but the end result is a brilliant smile you won’t be able to keep to yourself.
Here at Ninth East Dental in Provo, Utah, we’re dedicated to helping you through the orthodontic process as smoothly as possible. Part of that is helping you care for your teeth while you’re wearing braces.
Let’s look at a few things Drs. Adrian Huang and Preston Huang recommend for caring for your teeth with braces.
Using the right flossers
Working floss in and around your braces can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily, we have some flossers that are made just for working around braces. If you don’t have a flosser you’re comfortable with, contact our staff today to get a recommendation on which flosser to purchase.
Brush after eating
The biggest thing you can do to care for your teeth when wearing braces is to brush after every meal. That seems like a lot of work, but it’s not. Just a quick brush to get rid of the food trapped in your teeth, and you’re good to go!
Caring for your teeth while wearing braces isn’t as difficult as it may seem at first. If you have any other questions, please contact us at 801-854-9140 today.
